Racing at Suzuka!
On my recent escapades in Japan...I decided to make the trip up to Suzuka race track to see an Open-Track Race Day, with by no means amateur machines on the track & in the paddock. There were mixed cc races that comprised of: Seriously tuned NSR250s, TZR250s, RGV250s, Aprilia RS250s, GSXR 1000s, Fireblades, ZX10s, R1s, R6s, an H2R!!, 2 Hayabusas, Ducati 898s, and much much more!!! = PURE Craziness!!! Ernst Degner would have been proud! A pretty Full-On mix if you ask me..., but the skill of some of the 250 riders shone through on the track as they were in and amongst the bigger bikes no problem at all...especially off the bends & down into the main straight...
The speed most of these guys came down this straight was actually quite difficult to film even from high up in the stands!!! But, I did manage to fluke a few awesome still shots along the way...as well as some mad video. Insane speed down this straight as you will witness in the footage I took further down this page....

The only way to really film these guys is with an on-bike cam & ride behind them...which I could not honestly do...as my bike skills are more suited to an open-field than a race track!!! =0 ..I should have brought this guy to be honest on his RG500 with Race Pipes & wheels..., so I think he would keep up with them just fine...the Nutter!!!
