race has been going for over 100 years!!! And brings thousands of
riders &
spectators to the Isle of Man every summer. This "Tourist Trophy" or TT
is one of the world's most coveted races, as it really is: The most
dangerous; as it is carried out on real streets & country lanes
(some quite narrow), and the riders push the latest bikes to the
max...., often riding flat-out, so yes we are talking speeds of
170-207MPH!!! on normal roads!!!

This is what they do at the TT every year & it really is spectacular and
incredibly dangerous, and pushes the riders & their bikes to the limit.

when it began, and when the maximum race speed was 42.91MPH!!!

2010's winning team were Honda, and the man himself: John McGuinness rode them to victory winning the Senior TT race & gaining his 17th TT win!!!, with a 150MPH wheelie in style as crowds looked on in absolute awe... And he had a very cool set of leathers on with a pint of Guinness on the back!!! He bounced back after being down in 4th place & after relentlessly hunting down early race leader Suzuki legend: Guy Martin..., and clearing a substantial lead that took him home...Amazing stuff!!!
So the bar was set very high by John McGuinness in 2015. Will anyone ever get near his 17 TT Wins? The competition is hot as usual & the bikes & technology once again: outstanding...I can't wait to tune in on the net next week to get watching these unbelievable feats of control & supreme riding style...
Riding down country lanes & country town roads at formula one race track speeds takes some doing...coupled with amazing skill & concentration. How do they do it?!!!

I wonder if the Honda team will sweep the stakes again this year...?? Or, will Yamaha or Suzuki or one of the other big teams clinch it from them??! Only time, skill & teamwork will tell in one week's time!!!
Where will the future of these superbikes go now?? Lighter? Faster Heavier? Who knows?!!! Will the superior 2-strokes come back with a vengeance in an eco-friendly form?
We'll have to wait & see...
